I am a British writer and teacher from the UK, with a Masters in Linguistics - specialising in Bilingual Language Development - and an International Postgraduate Certificate of Education.
I have over 10 years experience of working with elementary and middle-school students, with a specific focus on literacy enrichment and creative writing teaching.
Currently, I am working on a fantasy novel inspired by Scottish mythology, with themes of colonialism and climate change. I also enjoy writing poetry and short stories.
You’ll most likely find me in a bookshop exploring the Sci-Fi and Fantasy sections (any book that has a map is a winner!) or drinking tea from an oversized mug.
I speak English and French fluently, and some Spanish. I believe that - whatever your mother tongue - nothing is as powerful as the language of words and stories.
Hi, I’m Laura.

Compassionate Structure
The best learning happens when students feel safe and supported. You might hear more talking than textbook work! My goal is to empower your child, meeting them where they are with reliable routines and a positive learning environment.
-
Personalised Targets
With individualised targets, big goals are broken into manageable steps so students can take ownership of their learning and reach their potential. Support isn’t just for those catching up — I also challenge and extend those stretching further.

Creative Rigour
I blend creativity with academic rigour through fast-paced activities and games. I believe education is a holistic, collaborative journey which deepens curiosity, encourages self-reflection, engages with the community, and creates new meanings for the world in which we live.
